TTA TOPS - Level 0 Coaching Course

A short course for those who are thinking of becoming a Coach

Pre-requisites

Completion of an on-line Australian Sports Commission Community Coaching Course - Essential Skills, which is found on the Sports AUS website.

Completion of on-line course Safeguarding Children & Young People in Sport Induction Course, which is found on the Sport Integrity Australia website. You can aslo access this via the TTA etrainu website by logging in to your TTWA member account.

Obtaining a Working With Children card (WWCC). Pick up the form from a Post Office, fill in your details, hand/send to TTWA so their part can be filled in, collect and attend a PO for photo ID and pay $11. Card will be sent to you after a number of weeks. 

Completion of TTA WWC check/Blue Card. You access the TTA etrainu website via logging in to your TTWA member account.

The TOPS Coaches manual and Participants workbook is avsilable for downloading on completion of your enrollment. It is strongly advisable that you read and study these documents. Familiarise yourself with the manual layout. It will significantly enhance your course experience and ensure that you obtain what is needed within the day long course. There is much to fit into the one day.

Hard copies of both will be supplied at your course.

You will achieve competency in all three Assessment Tools:

1. Session Planning (In Course)

2. Basic Tecniques & Multiball (In Course)

3.Practical Coaching Sessions (In Course)

Post Course Requirements

Maintaining a current WWC card. Cards last for 3 years; renew cards before they expire.

Maintaining a TTA Officals membership by renewing your regular club membership each year via the TTWA website.

Renewing your accreditation every three years. (Online process.)
