2025 China Training Camp
A historic MoU for TTWA, partnering with an association of the finest table tennis nation on Earth!
We’re thrilled to unveil something truly groundbreaking!
Table Tennis Western Australia (TTWA) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zhejiang University Table Tennis Association, Department of Physical Education and Art, China, an influential institution whose current alumni include World Champions and Olympic Champions, including Former World No 1, Olympic Gold Medalist, World Champion & Joint Chair of ITTF Athletes’ Commission, Liu Shiwen and a rising Chinese National Team star Xiang Peng.
This momentous partnership was officially sealed at the conclusion of the 2025 Elite International Open Championships, marking a bold leap into the future of TTWA.
Building on our recently established ties with the Hungarian Table Tennis Federation (HTTF), this latest initiative further accelerates TTWA’s international engagement strategy, expanding our global network and creating dynamic new opportunities for our athletes and coaches across two of the world’s most respected table tennis nations.
WHAT THIS MEANS
This isn’t just a MoU, it’s an alliance designed to inspire, elevate, and empower.
Together, the sister associations will:
• Launch elite joint training camps and international coaching workshops
• Knowledge share world class expertise and high performance strategies in order to help TTWA implement high performance pathways and programs that will elevate the standard of table tennis in WA
• Co-host competitions that connect table tennis cultures and drive performance
• Ignite global pathways for Western Australian athletes to thrive on the world stage
THE FIRST BIG MOVE
We’re beyond excited to announce that TTWA will accept the invitation to take its first ever delegation to China later this year (around early-mid September, TBC).
This trip will be an unforgettable experience where table tennis, culture, and competition come together like never before!
Here’s the game changing proposition on offer for our delegates from our sister association;

This opportunity is designed to be inclusive, with the goal of selecting athlete representatives from every group and demographic within our TTWA community.
Given the potential timing of this trip, just before the Veterans National Championships, priority may be given to veteran players.
