The 2026 WA Open Championship introduces an innovative new feature: the Team Event.  Please read the conditions and ensure that your team meets the entry requirements.

There is no individual payment for this event, gather your team and do one entry together.

Entries close at 23:59pm on 11th April 2026.

Teams Event Conditions and Format

·       Teams Event may nominate 3-4 players in one team. Team matches consist of five singles matches, each played in a best of 5 games format. Each team consists of three players and matches end when a team has won three individual games.

·       In each team match, three players are required to participate. Each player must individually meet one of the six distinct criteria listed below. It is important to note that each criterion can only be fulfilled by a single player in a match.

(1) Under 20 Male 
(2) 20-39 Male 
(3) 40-59 Male
(4) Over 60 Male 
(5) Under 20 Female
(6) 20-39 Female
(7) 40-59 Female 
(8) Over 60 Female

·       The order of play shall be

1) A v X
2) B v Y
3) C v Z
4) A v Y
5) B v X

·       Teams Event will follow a round robin and knockout format.

·       The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change Team Event format based on the numbers of entries.
