🏓 2027 China Training Camp – Second TTWA China Tour

📅 3–9 January 2027

An extraordinary international training opportunity returns for 2027!

Table Tennis Western Australia (TTWA) is excited to announce its second official China Training Tour, taking place from 3 January to 9 January 2027, building on the success of our inaugural tour and our landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Zhejiang University Table Tennis Association, Department of Physical Education and Art, China.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in TTWA's international engagement strategy, connecting Western Australian table tennis players with one of the world's leading table tennis nations.

Zhejiang University has strong connections to elite Chinese table tennis, with notable alumni including former World No. 1, Olympic Gold Medallist, World Champion and Joint Chair of the ITTF Athletes' Commission, Liu Shiwen, as well as rising Chinese National Team star Xiang Peng.

Following the success of our first tour, TTWA is delighted to continue strengthening this international partnership and providing our members with access to world-class training, coaching expertise and cultural experiences.

🌏 Strengthening Our International Partnerships

The MoU, officially signed at the conclusion of the 2025 Elite International Open Championships, established a long-term partnership focused on athlete development, coaching collaboration and international exchange.

Through this partnership, TTWA and Zhejiang University aim to:

• Deliver elite joint training camps and international coaching workshops.

• Share world-class coaching knowledge and high-performance strategies to strengthen Western Australia's athlete development pathways.

• Create opportunities for international competition and cultural exchange.

• Establish international pathways for Western Australian athletes to develop their skills and experience.

• Strengthen ongoing collaboration between the two associations.

The 2027 China Training Camp represents another important step in turning this partnership into meaningful opportunities for TTWA members.
